CYBA

CYBA - Charter Yacht Brokers Association

CYBA was established in 1982 with the concept of creating a support network for charter yacht brokers:

  • Establishing and maintaining a strict code of ethics
  • Establishing a higher level of fiduciary responsibility
  • Improving industry standards.

CYBA members share the responsibility of continuing to foster and promote professionalism within the charter yacht industry:

  • To continue to set higher standards
  • To continue to provide educational programs
  • To foster greater cooperation between brokers and others within the charter yacht industry
  • To help develop new policies and procedures that benefit the charter yacht industry.

GYA

GYA - Greek Yachting Association

Greek Yachting Association (GYA) is leading the initiative of charting these uncharted waters by safeguarding and guaranteeing the presence of every serious and highly professional commercial yacht in this side of the Med. The founding members of GYA are Greek professional yachting companies which are involved in all fields of Charter, Brokerage, Management, Insurance and Construction of large yachts. GYA and its Members represent over 90% of the Crewed Charter Yachts in Greece under Central Agency Agreement.

The objectives of this Association are to:

  • maintain high standards of professionalism in charter, sales and yacht management

  • closely cooperate with MYBA association as MYBA members and MYBA companies

  • organize an annual charter yacht show for the Greek and foreign flag charter yachts, under Central Agency Agreement.

IYBA

IYBA - International Yacht broker Association

The International Yacht Brokers Association was created in 1987 to unite those engaged in the yacht brokerage business for the purpose of promoting professionalism and cooperation among its members; and to promote and maintain a high standard of conduct in the transacting of the yacht brokerage business.

Each member is required to abide by a code of ethics to protect the public against fraud, misrepresentation, or unethical practices in the yacht brokerage profession. Each member is to endeavour to eliminate any practices, which could be damaging to the public or the dignity and integrity of the yacht brokerage profession. The organisation is comprised of over 1450 individual members representing over 400 businesses.

The Yacht & Brokerage Show, held yearly in Miami, is owned jointly by the International Yacht Brokers Association and Yachting Promotions Inc. The show represents a significant cornerstone of achievement to the Association and the yacht brokerage community.

MYBA - Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association

MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association is an internationally renowned professional organisation, founded in 1984, whose Members are involved at all levels within the Super yacht Industry.  Members of MYBA are widely represented in all fields of brokerage, charter,technical  management and construction of large yachts.
 
MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association guides its Members on the highest ethical and technical standards, ensuring Corporate and Individual Members meet the requirements of the Rules of Conduct.
 
The Super yacht industry has developed and evolved immeasurably over the past two decades.  MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association which has adopted an increasingly influential and significant role in this industry, works closely with Government Organisations, Coastguards, the International Maritime Organisation, Licensed Marine Underwriters, Insurance Companies and Lawyers.  Both the MYBA Charter Agreement and the MYBA Memorandum of Agreement have been developed over the years and provide an industry standard throughout the world
